Typically an hour to 90 minutes long, the initial consultation involves a thorough and extensive understanding of health and particular areas you would like assistance with. Traditional Chinese diagnostic methods used in the consultation include tongue, pulse, palpation and observation. If you have current blood tests, scans or any other relevant information regarding your health, please bring copies of these with you.
During this first encounter, my goal is to give you a clear understanding of your health, why and how your particular issue/s may have come about and what we can do to fix it. Acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, diet therapy, sho ni shin, moxibustion and lifestyle factors are tools that will be considered in this session. I will discuss with you what I feel will be most therapeutic for you to consider.
Late Cancellation or No Show Fee: As I am most often booked ahead of time, and have patients on a waiting list for appointments, I appreciate as much notice as possible if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment. This allows me to allocate the appointment to another patient.
A cancellation fee applies (50% of service cost) where less than 24 hours notice is given to cancel or reschedule an appointment, or if you miss your appointment. Note, this fee does not apply for genuine emergencies.
